Filed Under Financial, Travel | Leave a Comment
Over the years, many of us have heard about the opportunities available in wholesale travel. As a consumer, we can recognize that if these wholesale travel packages are legitimate, then we will have access to vacation packages that would make the average traveler drool over their possibilities in travel destinations. Shorting the US dollar - what pattern will it take ?
Filed Under Currency, Financial | Leave a Comment
Anyone who reads can tell you that the US dollar is on a bearish - downward - trend compared to most of the other major currencies. The Aussie dollar and NZ dollar are consequently bullish, or rising. The China renminbi is skyrocketing. Even the Japanese yen is holding very steady.
The obvious bet, when trading the US dollar, is to short-sell. Basically, sell high and buy back to cover when it drops in value, over time.
But it’s not a linear fall. The US dollar kinda bumps around, drops for a few days, makes a U-turn, comes back up, occasionally even rises for a while before falling again. As such, any investor short-selling the US dollar must be careful, and watch closely the patterns, to anticipate these bumps before they happen. Short-selling is very time sensitive, and if you do not have the resources to cover your trades if they turn sour, you could lose a whole pile of money, much more that you stand to gain.
Remember, currency rates are not like gravity. Those that rise, continue to rise. Those that fall, continue to fall.

NZD and AUS dollars up, and new zealand is looking good

http://www.honeymoone.com/new-zealand/ - check out this photo tour of South Island, New Zealand.
Since the minor fiasco where a drop in the stock market sparked panic selling of the australian and new zealand dollars to repay yen loans, these currencies have rebounded and are now looking good. And with interest rates in New Zealand high, in excess of 7 %, it’s a good place to park funds for now.

As the headline says, stock markets in China have tanked, which have subsequently caused a number of asian markets to also tank. Ah well, time to wait for it to bottom out before buying some decent picks.
MJ might be performing in Las Vegas soon. Reports say he’s evaluating a few offers from there, plus he lives there presently, so it could work out well for him.
1 in 4 American women has HPV - human papilloma virus - which can cause cervical cancer. It’s also sexually transmitted. Perhaps early administration of that vaccine against cervical cancer doesn’t seem like such a bad idea now.
Travel destination of the day - Anchorage, Alaska. Totally gorgeous city, cool even in the summer, peaceful, and really scenic inlands. Plus, no highway billboards. How great is that?
